Jesus, Thank-You

Jesus,
Can I ever give to You,
Enough to show I care?
Enough to show my thankfulness,
For the cross You chose to bear?
For the love You give so freely,
For the forgiveness You impart,
What can I do to thank-you,
For giving me a new start?

My child,
To you I give this gift,
It's given out of love.
You can not try to earn it,
You need not plead it from above.
My grace I give to you,
Tis sufficient enought for thee,
All you need is a contrite heart,
And then to "Come to Me."
When your
hurts seem not to mend,
Come to me, My child,
For the peace that's without end.

As your tears start to fall,
As your grief overflows,
Lay your burdens down My child,
At the feet of One Who knows.
I, alone, know of your sufferings,
I, alone, know of your pain.
To die to self and to live for Me,
Will be your greatest gain.
